FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about BallBrain.

What is BallBrain?

BallBrain is a personalized athlete development app for basketball. It combines structured 6-week training programs, nutrition targets, vertical jump testing, and progress tracking in one place.

How are the plans personalized?

BallBrain builds a 6-week program around your profile — position, goals, injuries, equipment, and competitive cycle. A strength & conditioning coach refines the methodology behind the plans, so training reflects real athlete-development principles rather than a generic template.

How long are the workouts?

Each session is designed to be 45 minutes, including warm-up and cool-down. Plans also adapt for pre-season, in-season, and off-season.

Do you provide meal plans?

Not custom meal plans. BallBrain gives nutrition targets based on the type of day you have — workout day, game day, or recovery day — so you know what to aim for without a full menu.

How do XP, levels, and leaderboards work?

You earn XP by completing sessions, tests, and achievements. XP levels you up and ranks you on the training leaderboard. There is a separate vertical jump leaderboard for bounce. Rest days in your plan do not break your streak.

What is the vertical jump test?

It is an in-app test that measures your bounce and adds it to your athlete profile. You can track improvement over time and compete on the vertical jump leaderboard.

What equipment do I need?

Most workouts can be done at home or in a gym. During onboarding you tell us what equipment you have, and the plan adapts — including substitutions when something is not available.

What is BallBrain Academy?

Academy is coming soon. It will be a learning layer for basketball skills and game situations — shooting and finishing, rebounding, ball handling, and pick situations — so athletes understand the game, not only complete workouts.

How much does BallBrain cost?

BallBrain is currently in closed Android beta and we are not charging while we focus on product-market fit. Join the waitlist to get access as we open up.
